PINK BALL TOURNAMENT

PINK BALL is a scramble with a twist.  While the rest of your team plays a normal scramble, one person will play the PINK ball, so you will be keeping TWO scores - one for those playing the scramble and one for the person playing the pink ball alone.  The person playing the pink ball may not play as part of the scramble.  See NOTE on threesomes below.

Each player on the team MUST play the PINK BALL on 2 holes (at least), in no particular order, so there is some strategy involved.  Please make a notation on the scorecard to keep track of this.

IF YOU LOSE THE PINK BALL:  You all may continue to play a plain scramble for the rest of the round.  The pink ball score will be DOUBLE PAR for the hole on which it was lost and for every hole remaining in the round.  If you find a pink ball in the woods, do not assume it is yours.  Your starting hole # will be written on your ball.

NOTE:  If you end up as a threesome, then each player will have the opportunity to play for the 4th person’s shot by rotating through in this format:
a.            Holes 1, 4, and 7
b.            Holes 2, 5, and 8
c.            Holes 3, 6, and 9
In other words, when it is your turn to play for the 4th person, you will be hitting 2 balls each time.
This means that you might be playing a PINK BALL and participating in the scramble as the ghost (4th) player.
The ghost player must also play the PINK BALL at least 2 times.  Plan accordingly and make a notation on the scorecard.

For anything else, not covered here, typical golf rules apply to both the scramble and the pink ball.
