August 30 (NR) - Thank you to everyone for another great season and to Kim for her awesome cookies for our banquet! Also, congratulations to all of the winners of our various contests and show-downs! Please check out the LEADERBOARD for more information. Hope to see you all again next year!
August 16th (NR) - There is just 2 more weeks remaining for our league :-(
Monday is the Annual Pink Ball Scramble and then we will host a "Par 3 Par-Tee" just before our Banquet. Good luck to everyone and I can't wait to reveal the winners!
August 3 (NR) - Congratulations to Carolyn Palo for winning the Closest-to-the-Pin contest. Her ball landed on the green a mere 10’ 1” away from the Hole. Also, congrats to Marilou Lonsdale for chipping in. Since no one had chipped in for the last few weeks, she was the sole winner of a hefty pot!
July 27 (NR) - Get ready for our 2nd Annual, CLOSEST-TO-THE-PIN contest tomorrow night at hole #5. Anyone, at any skill level, has the opportunity to win this one! Please see the instructions on the SCRAMBLES page.
July 20 (NR) - Tomorrow is going to be gorgeous for our 3rd Annual 3-Club Championship. It is going to make you wonder why we need all of those clubs anyway? The rules are posted on the SCRAMBLES page. Good luck and have fun!
June 23 (NR) - Congrats to Traci for hitting the LONGEST DRIVE at the competition last week - 211 yards on hole 6. For those of you who opted to bow out due to the extreme heat tonight, please remember to submit your make up score on, or before, July 7th. Next week is the Red, White and Blue scramble which is an interesting variation of a basic scramble. Instructions will be provided shortly.
June 13 (NR) – It’s been a while since I last posted, but we are “off to the races”. The link to the RESULTS Spreadsheet has been provided. Please recognize that BYE weeks have a result on the overall team totals, but it will all even out in the end.
Also, congratulations to Bonnie, Patty, and Marilou for their chip-ins on May 19th and to newbie, Kimberly Beal, for hers on June 9th!
Finally, get ready for our 2nd ANNUAL, LONGEST DRIVE competition on June 16th. This is a fair-weather ONLY event. The rain date is set for June 23rd.
April 12 (NR) - Congratulations to Dot Mastandrea for achieving the highest score on our Golf Trivia game at our Season opening meeting at Ocho's. She correctly answered 20 out of 22 questions. This is up from 16 last year! As a result she received $10 off her annual membership dues. Also, we will kick-off the season this week (4/14) with a non-competitive round at 5PM, shotgun start.
March 2025 (NR) - Answers to some FAQ's: Our league will officially start on April 14th, although not competitively until May 5th. Please take a look at the SCHEDULE page. The cost to join our league is $50 for the 2025 season. Players will also pay for the cost to play golf on each Monday, directly, to the Groton CC pro-shop ($22 per 9 holes + $11 cart fee, if desired).
